With twice weekly LIVE classes, you can be sure to stay on track in a fun and supportive environment. Our classes are differentiated for all levels and backgrounds of participants! Whether you are just starting a healthy movement journey, are returning to one, or are continuing onto your next step- we're the right place for you. Classes are ongoing- we do not run in sessions!
Our adult fitness classes will incorporate:
Jenny is a 4th degree black belt in karate and holds the rank of "Instructor" in capoeira. She has over thirty years experience as a martial artist, and has spent twenty five of those years instructing all ages of students - from 3 to 73- in martial arts, kickboxing, and general strength training and conditioning. With her solid foundation in martial arts, you can expect to learn real kickboxing techniques as part of your workouts, and a fun variety of exercises to keep you engaged.

Definitely not! Instruction is adapted and differentiated to the different needs and backgrounds of students. Whether you've never touched a dumbbell in your life, or you are a seasoned martial artist, we will make class fun and just at the right level of challenge for you.
Yes! Many cardio kickboxing classes do not teach proper form behind hand strikes and kicks, which can lead to injury when done in repetition. While we will be spending the majority of this class working up a (fun!) sweat, some explicit technique instruction will be given so that students are practicing techniques safely, and also so that they can learn a bit of a practical skill on the side (a little self-defense and striking knowledge never hurts!).
You will need a small amount of clear floor space, and a set of lighter weight dumbbells (recommended between 5-10 pounds depending on your history with lifting weights).
Optional equipment: a yoga mat, a standing or hanging bag with gloves if this is something you typically like to train with. If you have other equipment like resistance bands, kettle bells, weighted balls or balance ball, or other sized dumbbells, feel free to bring them and we can certainly integrate them into your exercises.
A note on pad striking: we will be focusing on doing strikes in the air, but if you are acquainted with pad striking, or have a pad and would like to be acquainted with how to strike, Jenny would be happy to offer a workshop on how to safely strike your pad- that way you can utilize it in class if you would like!
If your comfort level is to exercise with screen off, on, or a combination of both, that's absolutely ok! Jenny does adapt her instruction to the needs of the participants, so screens on can help her adapt better to each student specifically. If that feels intimidating or just not a good fit, screen off is totally welcome- just be sure to touch base with Jenny if there are any needs you might have or that come up while training that she wouldn't be able to see.
While this class will incorporate kickboxing strikes, kicks, and movements (along with instruction on proper technique), this is a fitness class primarily. We will utilize kickboxing techniques along with other strengthening, cardio, and conditioning drills to break a sweat and have fun doing it!
