2026 Camp Ignite!

 JUNE CAMP: Animal Adventure Camp, with a focus on fun martial arts tricks

Monday June 15th- Thursday June 18th, 10am-12pm CT

-Day 1: Untamed Lands, Capoeira & Spin Kicks; craft: soap carved animal

-Day 2: Ocean Odyssey, Taekwondo & Kicking Combos; craft: sponge painted ocean scene

-Day 3: Wings & Wonders, Karate & Jump Kicks; craft: paper roll bird

-Day 4: Small Wonders, Martial Arts drills for the tiny yet mighty; craft: camp t-shirt or hat

AUGUST CAMP: Legends & Myths Camp, with a focus on martial arts weapons (done safely and with options for easy at-home DIY weapon substitutions)

Monday August 10th- Thursday August 13th, 10am- 12pm CT

-Day 1: Mythical Creatures & Capoeira/maculele; craft: mythical creature mini-figure
-Day 2: Legendary Heroes & Taekwondo/nunchucks; craft: origami ninja star
-Day 3: Magical Powers Workshop & Karate/bo staff; craft: potion jar
-Day 4: The Hero's Journey & Martial Arts challenges; craft: camp t-shirt or hat

Each day of camp, you can expect engaging and fun games and crafts, as well as physical activity in learning a new martial art theme each day!  We will follow a similar format for each day of camp:

• Welcome campers, introduce our theme, and connect it to a big picture character-building discussion

• Martial Art of the day: we will start with some background info and then get up and move!  We will practice a new martial art each day, and play an active game with it.

• Themed game: We will play a cooperative game or two connected to our theme of the day.

• Craft: We will create a craft related to our theme of the day.

Supplies needed are minimal and a list will be provided a month before the start date of the camp session.

Camps are hosted by Jenny Johnson-Blanchard, director and instructor for Ignite Martial Arts Virtual Academy, licensed k-12 teacher, and homeschool parent.
